- (A) Markings – Drew, Taped, Prepped and Painted Insignias IAW Stinson Factory Drawings 76- Series
Beginning to tape out the National Insignias on fuselage
Beginning to tape out the National Insignias on wings
There are very specific sizes, dimensions and positioning to be used
I found it best to have the overall outine taped out then have the white areas taped out. Paint the white areas first, remove the tapes around the white areas and once dry tape over the white areas to paint the blue areas.
While it is rewarding to get to this point, it took alot of work to get to here and alot of work to prep for blue.
Installed front windshield while waiting for white paint to dry
Also installed doors, windows and back glass
Taped out white areas to now paint blue
Note the two inspection panels that go on the bottom of the aircraft are prepped to get a portion painted blue
Unmasking the National Insignias is a very special moment
