SUMMARY OF SERVICE: Assigned to the 509th at the Anzio beachhead from the 11th Airborne Division right after jump school in December 43. Was at Fort Polk at the time. Air Assault jump into Southern France, 15 August 1944. wounded 20 August and was air evacuated to Naples, Italy.  Discharged from the hospital to go to the battle of the Bulge. The 509th was disbanded 1 March 1945, I was reassigned to E Company 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division.  "America's Guard of Honor 82nd Airborne Division. General Eisenhower's "SHAEF" Supreme Headquarters, Allied Expeditionary Force. Riems, France "Little Red School House" 8 May 1945 - Capitulation Du Riech.  100 percent permanently and totally disabled due to service connected wounds incurred during World War II.
 

MARITAL STATUS: "I met the love of my life DAWN on Memorial Day in 1946 and we married in July. We have four children and will be celebrating our sixty-third anniversary this year 2009".

PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES:

Quality Assurance Engineer, for twenty-five years I worked and traveled extensively for Sanders Associates, Inc.Nashua, New Hampshire. Primarily work was on NASA's Apollo Lunar mission as a member of the Quality Assurance Reliability Engineering Team.

Past Chairman of the Merrimack valley section of the American Society for Quality Control.

Holding certificates as Quality Control Technician, Quality Assurance Engineer and Quality Assurance Reliability Engineer

A Faculty member and Adjunct Professor of Reliability Engineering and Quality Assurance Process Control with the New Hampshire Technical Colleges.
