28 Nov 1943 - Departed Camp Kunkle, Oujida, North Africa for Naples, Italy

12 Dec 1943 - Assigned to A Company 509th Parachute Infantry Battalion

22 Jan 1944 - Participated in Operation SHINGLE the amphibious invasion of Anzio, Italy
