HEINZ BARRACKS

The following photos are of the site in Bastogne, Belgium where Brigadier General Anthony McAuliffe commanded the 101st Airborne Division in the defense of Bastogne and made his defiant response 'NUTS' to the German Commander asking for the surrender of the 101st Airborne on 22 December 1944.  Currently there are four restored rooms with plans to open more in the near future.
